Twitter has launched a new update today which is called two step authentication.With enabling this service twitter has joined the companies that offers two step authentication.It adds more security to your account let you to protect your account from being hacked.The idea behind two step authentication is simple as whenever you will log in to twitter it will send a message to your added phone number with a code that you had to enter in twitter in case of logging in.So if someone is able to guess your account password they can not be able to guess the code sent to your phone.Account hacking is serious matter these days and for high profile companies like twitter is too big.

Most of the online companies like google,facebook have this featrue already in actio but twitter has some difference from them.As you are on any other device or you are using an app then you had to generate a temporaory password and had to paste it in the box where twitter will see if it is correct.The password will also be valid for 1 hour only.

• To enable twitter Two Step Authentication go to your account settings page.


• Now first you need to add a phone number to your twitter account.


• To add a phone click on add a phone and add your phone with following the instructions from twitter.


• Now after enabling your phone again go to account settings page.


• Now check the box in Account security that says Require a verification code when I sign in.


• Now save your settings and thats it friends.
