Link Building Tips For 2013
Posted by Abhishek in: SEO TrafficWhenever there are updates made to search engines and how they work to properly organize website quality, people tend to panic. They start to wonder how their website is going to stand in terms of SEO and if there are any changes that need to be made. If you have been worrying about your link building process, then you've definitely come to the right place because we are going to break down a few of the simplest and more effective ways to build links so you can get the most out of them. When accompanied by great content, customer service and reliability; your website should be just fine.
Being a member of social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest has its benefits. When you have such a huge platform at your disposal, it's best that you make the most of it. Every time you make a change to your website (post a new blog or article or whenever you are holding a special sale), these types of things should be linked to all of the sites listed above. Simply by posting those few links that take a matter of minutes (if that) is going to get you many views automatically. If the people who see your page enjoy it, they are likely to link it on their social networking pages as well. To make things even easier for your viewers, make sure to have Share and Like buttons on your website so people can simply click without needing to physically copy the URL and paste it. People on the web definitely love simplicity.
If you are taking the step we mentioned above, then you shouldn't have to worry about this, but it's worth mentioning for the rest of you. When posting links around the web back to your website, be careful not to over-share certain pages. You want there to be links to all areas of your website, not just your home page, for example.
The same goes for anchor texts. You do not want every single one of your anchor texts leading back to your website to say the exact same thing. This comes across as a bit spammy and can raise red flags within search engines. (As an important general SEO side note, the same goes for stuffing keywords. Do not have the title, anchor text and 50 words throughout the page say the exact same thing. It just looks tacky)
While having a healthy number of steady links going to your website is great, if you are not linking to something worthwhile; all your work could potential be for nothing. This is why it's extremely important to make sure you are not simply pumping out content to get noticed. What you write and add to your website should be high quality. There are tons of websites all over the web, with more and more being added all the time. If people do not see something they are intrigued by within the first few seconds of opening up your site, they are most likely going to leave and find something else. Competition can be tough these days on the web but if you work hard on a continual basis, you are going to see results.
